26.12.2013 Hurghada

Heute habe ich einmal richtig ausgeschlafen und zwar bis 10 Uhr! : ) Eine halbe Stunde später sass ich draussen beim Frühstück an der milden Sonne.

Today I once slept in and woke up at 10 am! : ) Half an hour later I was sitting outside having breakfast at the mild sun.

Da es heute Morgen bewölkt war. Nahm ich mir nach dem Frühstück Zeit um meinen Blog zu aktualisieren, meine vielen e-mails zu beantworten und Pläne für meine restliche Zeit hier in Hurghada zu schmieden...

Since it was cloudy this morning I took time this morning to update to my blog, to answer my many e-mails and making plans for the rest of my time here in Hurghada...

Als es dann doch sonnig wurde, packte ich meine Siesachenachen und machte mich an den Strand um meine blasse Haut etwas zu bräunen... und das bei äusserst angenehmen 26 Grad!

Danach wurde ich aktiv und joggte diesmal Richtung Norden. In dieser Richtung war es zuerst ein kurzes Stück der Strandpromenade und dann direkt am Meer entlang. Zurück im Hotel schwamm ich im spiegelglatten Meer noch meine übliche Strecke von 100 Zügen und wieder zurück - herrlich!

Zum Schluss um mein Wohlbefindprogramm abzurunden, besuchte ich das Dampfbad, die Sauna und den heissen Jacuzzi - diesmal war ich die fast alleine, dabei hatte ich mir doch extra meinen Bikini umgeschnallt! ; )

When it got sunny outside, I grabbed my things and went to the beach tan my pale skin a little up... and all with extremely pleasant 26 centigrade!

Thereafter I was active and this time jogged direction north. In this direction it was initially a short piece of the beach promenade and then right along the sea. Back at the hotel I went swimming in the glassy sea, my usual distance of 100 strokes and back again - lovely!

Finally, to round off my health programme, I visited the steam room, the sauna and the hot jacuzzi - this time I was almost alone, but expressely put on my bikini! ; )

Um 19:30 Uhr wurde ich von meinem Privatchauffeur Ahmed abgeholt - das war übrigens 5 Jahre lang sein Job in Kairo bei einer britischen Familie! Wir fuhren in die Stadt zum Fischrestaurant Al Halaka, wo ich mich für die Einladung von gestern revanchieren konnte. Auch hier im Restaurant gleich gegenüber des Fischmarktes genossen wir zuerst verschiedene Vorspeisen wie Baba Ganub (Auberginensauce), frischen Salat und Riesencrevetten und danach je einen Red Snapper mit gegrilltem Gemüse - sooo fein und alles für nur EUR 15!

Auf dem Heimweg machten wir noch einen Teehalt im neuen Granada, einer hübschen Lounge mit Sicht aufs Meer, und dann ging es ins Hotel an die Arbeit, denn Blogschreiben benötigt Zeit... aber ich mache es gerne, vor allen weil ich mit verfolgen kann, dass ich täglich 100 Besucher habe - danke fürs Interesse!

At exactly 7:30 pm I Ahmed my private driver picked me up at the hotel - that actually was his job for 5 years in Cairo with a British family! We drove into town to the seafood restaurant Al Halaka where I could return the favor for the invitation of yesterday. Here too at the restaurant just across from the fish market, we first enjoyed several appetizers such as Baba Ganub (eggplant sauce), fresh salad and prawns and then each a red snapper with grilled vegetables – very delicious and all for just USD 15!

On the way home we stopped for tea at the Granada, a lovely new lounge with sea view, and then it was time back to the hotel and work, for my blog writing takes time ... but I love doing it, above all because I can see that I have 100 visitors daily - thanks for your interest!
