Hurghada
Heute
Morgen ging der Wecker um 9 Uhr und wenige Minuten später joggte ich schon
Richtung Süden... leider konnte ich nur eine kurze Strecke dem Strand entlang
rennen, denn Zäune versperrten den Durchgang von einem Hotel zum andern.
Schade, so nahm ich die grosse Fussgängerpromenade und werde das nächste Mal
Richtung Norden joggen...
Zurück im
Hotel ging ich trotz der Wellen im kühlen Meer schwimmen, denn heute war es
ziemlich windig! Das Hotel gibt eine Wassertemperatur von 25 Grad an, ich würde
es aber eher auf 22, max. 23 Grad schätzen!
Nach dem
Stretching und Trocknen an der Sonne begab ich mich zum Frühstück. Trotz des
stetigen Windes setzte ich mich draussen auf die Terrasse und liess mich so
richtig verwöhnen...
The alarm clock went off
at 9 am this morning and a few minutes later, I jogged already heading
south... Unfortunately, I could
run only a short distance along
the beach, because fences blocked the passage
from one hotel to the other. Too bad, so I took the large
pedestrian promenade and will try jogging northbound
the next time...
Back at the hotel I went for a swim in the cool sea in spite of the waves, because today it was pretty windy! The hotel reported water temperature of 25 degrees, but I would rather guess 22, max. 23 centigrade!
After stretching and drying in the sun, I went for breakfast. Despite the steady wind, I sat outside on the terrace and had myself treated well...

Da ich
mich noch immer nicht richtig ausgeschlafen fühlte und es gestern wieder
ziemlich spät wurde bis ich endlich unter die Decke schlüpfte, legte ich mich
nach dem Frühstück an den Strand und döste immer wieder ein - herrlich!
Dann
beschloss ich den Hotelspa zu inspizieren und relaxte den Rest des Nachmittages
im Dampfbad, in der Sauna und im Schatten am Pool beim SPA - wenn ich jetzt
nicht ausgeruht bin!? : ) Die Anlage ist nicht die modernste aber funktioniert
auf Hochtouren! Dort lernte ich 3 Geschäftsleute aus Kairo kennen, die 3 Tage
hier im Marriott verbringen. Sie kamen mit der Badehose in die Sauna und ich
lag natürlich nackt da... glücklicherweise hatten sie nichts dagegen und schon
bald waren wir in interessante und humorvolle Gespräche verwickelt!
Since I still
did not feel rested and it again was
quite late yesterday until I finally slipped under the covers,
I went to the beach

They entered the sauna with their swimwear and I lay there naked of course... luckily they did not mind (I asked to be on the safe side!) and soon we were engaged in interesting and humorous conversations!

Um 18 Uhr
holte mich mein lieber Freund Scheich Marey ab und wir fuhren in die Wüste, wo
wir bei einem Lagerfeuer und einem Apero unsere Wüstentour besprachen. Er wird
erst ab dem 1. Januar Zeit haben, weil er als Wüstenexperte momentan als
Berater der Regierung ziemlich beschlagnahmt ist...
At 6 pm my dear friend Sheikh Marey picked me up and we drove into the desert,
where we discussed our desert tour having a campfire and an aperitif. He will have time only from the 1st of January
because he is currently fairly engaged as a
desert expert and advisor by the government...
Um 22 Uhr war ich zurück im Hotel
und da mich ein kleines Hüngerchen plagte, verdrückte ich im Restaurant Tuscany
eine gegrillte Seebrasse mit Riesencrevetten – hhhhmmmmm, die Küche hier ist
einmalig!

At 10 pm I
was back at the hotel and since
a little hunger bothered me, I had a grilled sea bream
with king prawns at the Restaurant
Tuscany - hhhhmmmmm,
the cuisine here is superb!
