22.12.2013 Böju - Hurghada

 

Um 3 Uhr ging der Wecker heute Morgen und nach nur 4 Stunden Schlaf musste ich aus den Federn... Eine Stunde später war ich schon bei meiner Tochter Melanie, die mich den Rest zum Flughafen Zürich fuhr, den wir eine halbe Stunde später um 5:30 Uhr erreichten. Es war so früh, dass fast alles noch geschlossen und ich die erste am Gate war!
 

At 3 am the alarm clock went off this morning and after only 4 hours of sleep I had to get out of bed... An hour later I was already at my daughter Melanie’s place, who drove me the rest to the airport of Zurich, where we arrived half an hour later at 5:30 am. It was so early that almost everything was still closed and I was the first at the gate!

Pünktlich um 6:30 Uhr hoben wir ab und ein fantastisches Flugwetter liess mich nur ab und zu etwas nachschlafen… Kurz vor 12 Uhr landeten wir in Hurghada, wo die Passformalitäten der vielen ankommenden Gäste fast eine Stunde benötigte.
 

We took off on time at 6:30 am and a fantastic flying weather let me keep up with sleep only from time to time... Shortly before noon we landed in Hurghada, where the passport formalities of the many arriving guests took almost an hour.

Ich wurde von einem Chauffeur des Hotels ins Hurghada Marriott Red Sea Resort (www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/hrgeg-hurghada-marriott-beach-resort) gefahren und bezog kurz darauf todmüde mein hübsches Zimmer im 6. Stock mit herrlicher Aussicht aufs Rote Meer. Nachdem ich mich eingerichtet hatte, begab ich mich an den Strand und verbrachte den Nachmittag dösend in der milden Sonne…
 

I was picked up and dropped off by a chauffeur of the hotel Hurghada Marriott Red Sea Resort (www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/hrgeg-hurghada-marriott-beach-resort) and only a bit later I installed myself in my pretty room on the 6th floor with a beautiful view over the Red Sea. Thereafter I went to the beach and spent the afternoon dozing in the mild sun...

Noch immer etwas müde beschloss ich heute im Hotel zu bleiben und genoss im Restaurant Tuscany das Surf & Turf Menu (Hummer und Rindsfilet) mit einem feinen ägyptischen Chardonnay.

Still a little tired I decided to stay at the hotel today and went to the restaurant Tuscany for dinner, where I enjoyed the Surf & Turf menu (lobster and beef tenderoin) with a fine Egyptian Chardonnay.
